A long table set for dinner in warm evening light

La Casa

A house built on taste.

Oro Lusso is a small Indian house with an Italian soul — an importer that behaves like a maison, choosing few things and choosing them completely.

We began with a simple discomfort: the Italy served in India was rarely the Italy Italians eat. So we set one rule and kept it — nothing carries our name that we would not set before our own family.

Few things, chosen completely

La Missione

Why the house exists.

Mission

Italy’s honest pantry, brought whole.

To bring Italy’s honest pantry to India without compromise — the same rice, oil and tomatoes an exacting household in Verona or Gragnano would buy, sourced at origin and carried here with nothing softened, substituted or explained away.

Vision

The reference for Italian fine food in India.

To become the name a chef, a grocer or a host reaches for when only the real thing will do — the quiet standard other shelves are measured against, one carefully chosen category at a time.

What We Believe

Four principles, held daily.

Written before the first container sailed, and consulted before every decision since. They are short because they are meant to be kept.

  1. 01

    Provenance over price

Where a thing comes from decides what it can become. We would rather carry one rice from the right valley than five from convenient warehouses — and we have built the house on that arithmetic.

  2. 02

    The producer is the hero

Our label is a frame, not the painting. The families who grow, press, mill and jar are the reason anything of ours tastes the way it does, and we name them, visit them and answer to them.

  3. 03

    Curation is subtraction

A great pantry is edited the way a great menu is — by what it leaves out. Every product we decline protects the meaning of every product we keep.

  4. 04

    The table is sacred

The point of all of it — the freight, the paperwork, the tastings — is an evening. People gathered, plates passed, time slowed. We work backwards from that moment.

Eredità · Heritage

Old hands,
new rigour.

Every Oro Lusso product begins in a place where the craft predates the brand by generations — rice on the Po, olives in Puglia, pasta in Gragnano. Our part is to carry that inheritance six thousand kilometres without letting anything slip in transit, in translation or in temperature.

  • Batch tastingEvery consignment is tasted against a retained origin sample before it is released to a single shelf.
  • DocumentationProducer certificates, lot numbers and import papers travel with each batch — provenance you can ask to see.
  • Cold chainTemperature-monitored sea freight and climate-controlled warehousing, so the product that arrives is the product that left.

La Strada

The road ahead.

The collection grows the way it began — slowly, and only when a producer earns a place at the table. What follows is a direction, not a schedule.

01

New categories

Extra virgin olive oil, San Marzano-style peeled tomatoes, bronze-drawn Gragnano pasta and a true truffle collection — each arriving only when the right producer has been found and tasted.

02

Seasonal collections

Limited editions that follow the Italian calendar — new-harvest oil, autumn truffle, the panettone of Christmas — assembled as gifts and allocated, never mass-shipped.

03

Chef partnerships

Deeper work with the kitchens that trust us: menu collaborations, sourcing built around a chef’s brief, and ingredients credited on the menu the way wine lists credit a grower.

Taste what the house stands for.
