The spires of the Milan Duomo against an evening sky

Il Viaggio

Six thousand kilometres, kept honest.

From an Italian harvest to an Indian table, every batch travels one unbroken, documented road. This is how it goes.

Distance is where most imports quietly lose their soul — a warm container here, a missing certificate there. We built the journey first and the brand around it, so what leaves Italy is exactly what reaches your kitchen.

Sette Tappe

Seven stages, one standard.

  1. 01

    Origine

    Sourced at origin

It begins in a field, not a catalogue. We work directly with growers at harvest — rice on the Po, tomatoes under Vesuvius, olives in the Tuscan hills — securing the crop while it is still in the producer’s hands, never on a broker’s spreadsheet.

  2. 02

    Selezione

    Tasted & selected

Every lot is tasted before it is bought. We cook the rice, cut the cheese, pour the oil — side by side with the producer, against last year’s benchmark. What does not move us does not travel.

  3. 03

    Controllo

    Quality inspection & documentation

Each selected batch is inspected at source and papered end to end — harvest dates, mill records, lab certificates, lot numbers. A batch that cannot prove its story does not leave Italy under our name.

  4. 04

    Traversata

    Export & sea freight, temperature-monitored

From Genoa and Naples the containers sail east, sealed and logged. Data recorders ride with every shipment, holding the cargo between four and eighteen degrees across six thousand kilometres of open water.

An Italian port town above the sea the shipments cross
  5. 05

    Dogana

    Import, customs & FSSAI compliance

At Indian ports we clear every consignment ourselves — customs, labelling, FSSAI registration and testing. Compliance is not a hurdle we manage; it is the second signature on our promise.

  6. 06

    Distribuzione

    Distribution across India

From bonded, temperature-controlled warehousing, batches move on a monitored cold chain to Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and beyond — to hotel pantries, restaurant stores and fine grocers, with the paper trail intact at every hand-over.

    A Tavola

    Arrival in Indian kitchens

The journey ends where it was always headed — a pan warming in Mumbai, a risotto stirred in Delhi, a table set for people you love. Six thousand kilometres, and nothing of Italy lost on the way.
